NBL Next Star Mantas Rubstavicius has passed his first Summer League test in style, scoring 12 points for the Golden State Warriors on Monday, Australian time.
While he was overlooked in last month’s NBA Draft, Rubstavicius will be looking to impress across the next fortnight, starting with the California Classic.
In 25 minutes, he went four-of-eight from the field, pulled down six rebounds and grabbed two steals in the Warriors’ 24-point win.
The Lithuanian spent this season with the New Zealand Breakers, excelling in the second half of the campaign as a key part of Mody Maor’s rotation.
He averaged 9.5 points a game throughout NBL24.
On Sunday, former Melbourne United star Jo Lual-Acuil Jr had 16 points and six rebounds for Sacramento against China.
The NBL will be providing Summer League updates via its social media channels and the free NBL App over the next two weeks.
