Seventeen-year-old Mexican prospect, Karim Lopez, will play as a Next Star for the New Zealand Breakers over the next couple of seasons.

Lopez, who is highly versatile 6-foot-8 wing, will first become eligible for the NBA Draft in 2026 when he’s projected to be a top pick.

Lopez' length and athleticism is highlighted by his ability to thrive in the open floor and defend multiple positions.

The talented teenager led the 2023 FIBA U16 Americas in scoring, averaging 20.5 points per game, and impressed for the Mexican senior national team during the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico.
