Bobi Klintman says his time in the NBL has him perfectly prepared for the next step in his career – the NBA.

The 21-year-old represented the Cairns Taipans across NBL24, averaging 9.7 points a game to go with 4.8 rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

His standout performance came against the Perth Wildcats on Boxing Day, with 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Now, the Swedish Next Star is getting ready for one of the biggest moments of his life – next week’s NBA Draft.

“I played pro this season, so I feel like I’m ready to get on an NBA court,” he told The Ringer.

Klintman said playing alongside the likes of Tahjere McCall and Patrick Miller, who have plied their trade across the world, taught him the importance of routine and the professionalism required at the highest level.

The Ringer currently has the athletic forward as the 23rd overall draft selection, while ESPN recently listed him at no. 22.

Asked who he compare himself to in a playing sense, Klintman responded: “I would say Tobias Harris, maybe Michael Porter Jr, Nicolas Batum,” he said.

The NBA Draft will take place on June 27, Australian time.
