NBL25's class of Next Stars is looming as one of the top groups of emerging hoops talent anywhere in the world. Stay informed as to how each of the competition's brightest stars played on the weekend with NBL Media's Next Stars Wrap.

You won’t find a more meaningful win this week than the one Malique Lewis and South East Melbourne were able to secure against United on Sunday.

Lewis maintained his starting role and displayed his elite two-way potential in 28 minutes of play. He protected the rim and dropped some incredible dimes, ending the game with 7 points (2/3 3PT), 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.

Rocco Zikarsky and his Brisbane Bullets claimed their second consecutive win of the NBL25 season, beating the New Zealand Breakers on their first game back from their US trip. The eight-man rotation implemented by the Bullets only allowed for 10 minutes on the floor for Zikarsky, but he continues to rank among the league’s leaders in both offensive-rebound percentage and player efficiency rating.

Projected first-round pick Alex Toohey neared his first double-double of the season in Tasmania: with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals in 24 minutes.

Toohey continued his impressive start to the season and he was a driving force for a gutsy away win for the Sydney Kings.

The Perth Wildcats saw their leader and offensive mastermind, Bryce Cotton, go down few minutes into their matchup with the New Zealand Breakers on Saturday. Coach Rillie altered his rotations and several players saw their playing time diminished, including Izan Almansa.

The Spanish forward only played eight minutes and the Wildcats were not able to come away with a victory.

Karim Lopez is still dealing with wrist pain and did not compete in Round 5. The hope is that he will return for the upcoming Round 6 this weekend.
